How we list businesses
We list 60 electricians that work in the Cotswolds. Listings were last checked on 9 October 2026.
Where the data comes from
We build the list from primary sources: firms’ own websites, Companies House and the public registers of trade bodies. We do not copy listings, reviews or photos from other directories.
Each firm’s page lists every source we used, with the date we checked it.
Who we list
We list a firm when it says it does electrician work in the Cotswolds and we can confirm it is trading, from a working website, an active company record or a current trade register entry. We leave out firms whose website is gone and whose company is dissolved.
What the checks mean
A check means we found the firm on that register on the date shown. Each check links to the register, so you can see it yourself.
If we did not find a firm on a register, we show nothing for that register. We never say a firm is “not registered”, because a search can miss a firm that trades under a different name.
We do not check the quality of the work, prices or insurance. Always ask for proof of insurance and a written quote.
Which towns get a page
A town gets its own page when at least 3 listed firms cover it and we have written a useful local guide for it. We have 9 town pages now. Smaller places appear on the page of the nearest town.
How we sort listings
On a town page, firms based in the area come first. Then come firms based nearby, sorted by distance. Firms with no distance come last, in alphabetical order. Nobody pays for position.
How often we check
We check each listing at least every 90 days. Firms can ask us to correct or remove a listing at any time.
Changes to the register
- Directory launched with 60 electricians. NICEIC, TrustMark and MCS entries checked on each register. NAPIT entries are not shown yet, because its search needs a manual check.
- Removed two company numbers that matched on name only and could not be confirmed.
